- What is Ask Jev?
- Jev’s pockets are full of coins. Convince him to give them to you. This test uses simulated money, questions and scoring; no payments are sent.
- Is it really free?
- Yes. No wallet to connect, no coin to hold, nothing to sign. You only paste a wallet address after you have won, so there is somewhere to send the money.
- Where does the money come from?
- In the live game, $ASKJEV creator fees will be claimed automatically from Pons on Robinhood Chain. 90% goes into Jev’s pockets for players to win. The other 10% goes to the developers — or, as Jev calls them, “the wife and kids.” The coins shown here are simulated.
- How do I win?
- Get Jev to 100% convinced. The first person to do so in an open round gets every coin in his pockets.
- Does Jev get harder to convince?
- Yes. Jev starts out generous. After each paid win, he remembers the gold he just gave away and keeps a tighter grip on his pockets. The same argument can earn a lower percentage next round. You always need 100% to win.
- What happens when his pockets are empty?
- Creator fees fill them again. A winner takes all the coins, then the next round starts. Harder rounds can leave more time for fees to build up, but bigger payouts are not guaranteed.
- What happens when I win?
- The round locks to you that instant. You have 15 minutes to paste a wallet address, check it, and press send. In the live game, all the coins will go to that address on Robinhood Chain. This test simulates the payout. If the 15 minutes pass with no address, the round reopens without getting harder.
- What if two people reach 100% at once?
- The first message to get there wins. If someone is already claiming, Jev will tell you the coins are spoken for.
- Can I trick him?
- You can try. Repeated messages and instruction tricks are less convincing.
- What can other people see?
- In this test, your messages stay in your browser. The live game will show questions, scores and replies in the feed. Do not include personal information.
- Are there limits?
- 280 characters a message, and about 20 messages a minute. He is only one butler.
- Who runs this?
- Ask Jev is independent of TypeSafe and Ask.com. The live game is planned to use TypeSafe’s Jev model; this test uses sample scoring.
